My banana dessert was made by accident, if anything happens by accident, so does the dessert πŸ™‚ My kids adore light cakes and bananas. And I, like any caring mother, used to making children happy, I tried to make them a blend of light, fast, banana dessert… I’m not sure if I made it, but they adore it.  My Banana Dessert – Quick, Light And Delicious

How Was My Banana Dessert Made?

 

When I say that my banana dessert was made by accident, what I mean is – my daughter made a treat and she needed egg yolks, and she left the egg whites for something else. We had bananas that were already darkening and nobody wanted to eat them. This is how this light dessert came to light.

Bake one egg white crust and make a banana fillet and the dessert is done quickly. Since my kids don’t like whipped cream, we usually just sprinkle powdered chocolate or powdered sugar over desserts, further shortening the whole process. The cake is creamy, soft, and very tasty.

It seems to disappear before it’s made πŸ™‚ Even though we have a few banana recipes, this one is the most convenient because you don’t necessarily need to go to the store (unless you don’t have bananas already) πŸ™‚

 

If Your Guests Announce Themselves All of a Sudden…

 

What’s good is the fact that all the ingredients for this dessert are mostly in the house. This means it’s ideal when guests suddenly arrive and you are not prepared. With this quick dessert, you will not go wrong. Make it in an hour, maybe a little longer, mainly because of the crust that has to be dried. Otherwise, the process is simple. Experience tells me that few do not like bananas, and this filet with bananas, egg yolks, and, vanilla pudding is wonderful.

 

My Banana Dessert Allows Variations

 

Also, this dessert is subject to many variations, which require only a little imagination. I made the roll cake several times instead of the basic cake shape, because I only had one banana. I put a few shredded lemon peels a few times, and we really liked it, so it’s slowly becoming a practice.

My Banana Dessert - Quick, Light And Delicious

What is great about this dessert is its quick and easy preparation. There are no complicated steps or the danger that it will fail. The crust is thin and soft, and the fill is beautiful. There is no extra fat or much sugar in this dessert, so it's ideal for those looking for weight loss. As the crust bakes and cools, everything is done. The fill is cooked and cooled so the rest of the process is done in a few minutes.

Total Time 3 hours

Ingredients

  • Ingredients for egg white peel:
  • 4 egg whites
  • 5 tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of flour
  • if you want, you can add shredded lemon peels
  • Banana cream ingredients:
  • 500 ml. milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 4 bananas (maybe with 3 bananas)
  • vanilla pudding
  • half a cup of sugar (maybe less)
  • 4 tablespoons flour

Instructions

    Whisk the egg whites thoroughly, then add the sugar and whisk until a firm mixture is obtained. Then add a tablespoon of flour, reducing the mixer speed to a minimum. Finally, some shredded lemon peel can be added.

    Put baking paper in a smaller round baking pan and then pour in the crust. The crust is baked at 100 degrees for about an hour.


    The process of making banana cream:

    Whisk half a cup of fresh milk (500 ml prepared) with egg yolks and vanilla pudding. After that, stir constantly with the flour.

    The bananas are then grazed. I usually stuff them in a blender, along with the rest of the milk and sugar. After blending it, transfer the mixture to one pan and let it boil.

    After that, remove the pan from the heat, add the prepared mixture with the eggs, pudding, and flour, stirring constantly. Then return the cream to the fire for about three minutes.


    Filing And Finishing Desserts

    On a baked and cooled crust, pour the banana fill and shape your dessert. You can also coat this treat with whipped cream or some of your decoration if desired. I usually just pour white or black chocolate powder because the kids don’t like whipped cream. (You can add whipped cream if you like it.) Sometimes, if I have time, I melt some black chocolate, pour-over and the dessert is over.

    Notes

    If you don't have vanilla pudding that ideally goes with banana, then you can put two more tablespoons of flour instead of pudding. You can also make a roll instead of the shape of a cake, but in that case, there should be less fill. The crust tastes better if a little shredded lemon peel is added to it. One more thing, if you are in a hurry and do not have time to bake the crust, simply make a banana cream, pour it into bowls, garnish as desired and serve chilled.
