Every morning (which won’t be easy) we remind ourselves how good life is. Let us also remember how important it is to love life and to love in general. I remember giving away the most love, attention, and warmth when it was hardest for me. These were and remain my most effective feelings and my way of coping with challenges and problems. And that will stay that way.
Why? First of all, because they gave me a sense of peace and health in times when I thought the world was ending. But also because of the inner peace that was necessary for me to feel fulfilled and stronger. And that fulfillment and strength changed me and gave me much more… Therefore, life has become different, and I am somehow more ready for what is to come, which will certainly not always be pleasant and easy.
Also, don’t let anyone convince you that you need to be strong, happy or stable all the time. This is not true. Humans are emotional beings and it’s normal that we go through certain stages. But it’s important to go through them as consciously as possible. Prayer, gratitude, forgiveness, faith, optimism, love, are all the most subtle life tools available to us and can help us a lot. It’s up to us to decide whether and how we will do it. Indeed we can’t always control what happens to us, but we can control ourselves.
